Built for hardball baseball and made in Japan from premium, hand-selected leather, the SSK PRM-48 Special Order brings together careful material selection and the skill of Shokunin, Japanese glove master craftsmen. This example is new old stock in brand-new, unused condition, with its original factory tag still attached.

A Tandem leather palm provides excellent sweat absorption while maintaining a soft feel over time. Paired with a deep-shaped catching pocket, it reflects an approach to glove building that considers both the feel against the hand and the structure around the ball.

Rich dark brown leather, black lacing, and a yellow SSK patch give this mitt an understated, classic presence. The appeal goes beyond its appearance: this is an older Japan-made Special Order that has never been put into service or shaped to another catcher’s preferences.
